Snaidero was one of the first companies in Italy to adopt laser technology in its manufacturing processes. This modern technology allows the edges of doors to be joined using a high-efficiency laser source, leaving the surface completely free of visible seams. This permanent and gap-free welding eliminates aesthetic defects caused by glue residues, whilst preventing any dirt build-up and yellowing. A cutting-edge solution capable of guaranteeing the utmost functionality, durability and impeccable aesthetics, without any visible discontinuity.
Snaidero has performed the entire lacquering process at its factory for over fifty years, providing a wide range of colors and finishes. In doing so it has always been able to combine the latest technologies with the best hand-crafted finishing processes. This still remains the only way of guaranteeing the care and quality that the company demands. Snaidero’s collaboration with the Pininfarina group prompted the creation of innovative finishes in both matte and glossy metallic lacquers, developed from a process used in the automobile industry.
In 2010, Snaidero introduced our latest technology in finishing, mica lacquering, which is also closely associated with the automobile industry. Mica is a mineral with a characteristic shine and brightness that easily breaks into small flakes, providing an effect similar to metallic-finish coatings but much cleaner and brighter. It creates unique and discreetly beautiful surfaces with a refined and precious feel.
Good design must consider the needs of every user. Snaidero dedicates extensive research and study in their design phases to ensure children, the elderly, and people with physical limitations can use the kitchen space safely and comfortably in an attractive environment. The Skyline Lab design is a perfect example of this type of research and technology.
Respecting the environment and people's health. The careful process of monitoring and reducing its environmental impact started many years ago at Snaidero. The new manufacturing technology of our laser edging provides an energy savings of 20% and the need for material is reduced by 5%. The entire manufacturing cycle is therefore more ecological and contributes to an improved overall environmental balance.
All products used during the coating processes are non-toxic and do not contain heavy metals, formaldehyde or their composites. The company's commitment to reducing atmospheric emissions of volatile organic substances and to improving the healthiness of its working environments led to the introduction several years ago of non-toxic water-based matte lacquer coatings. At the same time, we are engaged in research to identify solutions that will help us convert other coating processes that still use solvent-based coatings to water-based products.
Snaidero is constantly researching and developing new ways for your kitchen to ‘communicate’ outside the confines of the house. The goal is to improve safety, comfort, and energy efficiency through automation devices that will be included within your kitchen.
Rino Snaidero was considered a “Knight of Industry.” Upon his death in 2004, The Rino Snaidero Scientific Foundation was created to be a true "ideas factory." The Creative Team of young international researchers carries out any research deemed useful for finding innovative solutions for improving quality of life in the home. The REAL Team of experts, managers and entrepreneurs explores ideas from a technical, scientific, economic and financial point of view. This represents the authentic vision of innovation as expressed by Snaidero.
