Recently Completed: Georgetown Jewel Box

Cairnhill Designs by Vivian Robinson is known for creating sophisticated, personalized spaces that blend elegance with comfort. For her own 1900 Georgetown row home, Vivian brought that vision to life through playful elements, vibrant color, and thoughtful design.

Drawing inspiration from the lush backyard garden, she carried a nature-driven palette of blush pink tones and greens throughout the home. Artwork by artists from across the country reflects and enhances the uplifting color scheme.

That same design approach shaped the kitchen renovation, where Vivian envisioned a jewel box theme – small in scale but with a luxurious, upscale feel. She grounded the space with Snaidero cabinetry in Alps Green Mica Matte Lacquer to echo the garden outside.

Gold-tone metal finishes for the upper cabinets and white quartz counters with gold veining add a luxurious touch. The frosted glass and bronze mesh Snaidero cabinets provide lightness and airiness while offering plenty of storage.

The kitchen was completely transformed to maximize efficiency in a compact space without feeling crowded. The fridge was tucked into a pantry niche, removing bulk and opening up the walls. This created a streamlined, spacious feel, with fully integrated Miele appliances that are flush and tucked in, so they don’t call attention to themselves.

Designed to support two people and frequent entertaining, the kitchen makes the most of limited counter space with induction cooktop and handleless oven options. The clean lines and handleless base cabinets keep the space feeling larger and elegant.
